Many Calypso divers want to hunt for giant megalodon shark teeth and other
prehistoric fossils underwater, but they aren’t sure how to do it. We’re lucky to
have one of the world’s best underwater hunting grounds just a short drive from
Tampa, offshore Venice!
you can do a shore dive in Venice and sometimes find small shark teeth if
you know where and how to look. Many divers do. But it usually takes a boat dive
to find the BIG palm sized megs and other prehistoric fossils like tigers, makos,
ancient dugong ribs, and even the teeth of mammoths and giant horses! Most are 5 to
8 million years old and have a beautiful black onyx sheen. There is great joy in the
hunt, and even more thrill in the find. Calypso pros Ed Zellem and Fred
Blatchford are veteran tooth hunters, and have volunteered to teach their unique
methods to the FIRST TEN Calypso divers who sign up! All inclusive cost for
a 2 tank boat dive on October 11 with Ed and Fred is only $150. Wetsuits might be desired,
and 50% gear rentals. DON’T MISS THE CHANCE CALL TODAY OR SIGN UP HERE!
